The Question Links feature allows you to add hyperlinks to individual questions. Adding a Question Link is useful for slower-paced or educational Experiences where the intent is to have your participants click on the question's hyperlink to read some text or watch a video, then return to the Experience to answer the question.
Question Links are typically used for questions without a Question Timer enabled to allow participants to have as much time as they need to browse through the contents in the hyperlink.
Adding a Question Link
Add a Question Link on the Experience Dashboard from the blue Questions tab. Select the question you want to add a link, then scroll down to the Question Link section on the lower right.
In this example, the trivia question is "What is the third step in the wine making process?" We want to show our players a brief video demonstrating the wine-making process to help learn the correct answer. The link to the video demonstration can be added via the Question Link section.
To add a link, click on the blue + Add Link button, which will display two text fields: Enter URL and Enter Link Text.
-
Enter URL: This text field allows you to paste in the actual hyperlink or URL for the website you would like participants to navigate to as they answer the active question. Upon clicking the hyperlink, the link will open up a new tab on their browser.
- Enter Link Text (Optional): This is the actual text that your participants will see under the Question Text and is entirely optional. If you choose to leave this field empty, participants will see the full URL you've entered in the URL input. Alternatively, you can type in a label such as "Click Here" if you'd like this text to display instead of the URL.
After you've modified your desired URL and optional Link Text, click on the green Save (checkmark) button to save your changes.
The saved Question Link will display the Link Text and hyperlink. |
Editing a Question Link
To edit a Question Link, click on the blue Edit (pencil) icon to bring down the same Enter URL and Enter Link Text boxes where you can input your desired changes such as changing the URL or assigning a new link label.
Viewing a Question Link on the Participant View
Any added Question Links will now display alongside the active question on your participants' Participant Views directly under the question text.
