Adding a YouTube Video to Game Media
You can add a YouTube video during your Bingo Game, which will display on your participants' mobile devices on the Participant View. For instance, this feature allows you to create a Music Bingo round where you can stream a song that your players must find the corresponding called square with the artist, title, lyrics, etc.
Copying the YouTube Link
First, you'll need the link to the YouTube Video you want to add, so head over to YouTube or YouTube Music and find your desired video. Once you've chosen a video, click the Share button located to the right of the video title. The Share dialogue box with circle social media icons will pop up, but you'll only need the actual URL link of the YouTube video, so locate the URL text box and hit the blue Copy button. The link will now automatically be copied to your clipboard, so you can now head back to the Experience Dashboard.
Pasting the YouTube Video Link
To add the copied YouTube video link, go to the Experience Dashboard, then the blue Bingo Setup tab, and click on the Add YouTube Video button with a play icon located on the right side of the Experience Dashboard.
Once you click on Add YouTube Video, a blue pop-up box with instructions for adding a YouTube video by copying and pasting its link will show up. Once you have pasted the YouTube video's link, press the green Search button.
After hitting Search to add the YouTube video, you will now see a thumbnail of your chosen video as well as two buttons for the Start Time and End Time at the bottom.
If you don't need a specific part of the video to play and would like the full duration of the video to play, simply ensure that both the Start Time and End Time boxes are left unchecked. These boxes are optional and are unchecked by default so the YouTube video will play from the beginning and will continue playing through the duration of your question.
Next, press Add Video to finalize adding the YouTube video to your Bingo Game.
Specifying the Start and End
Sometimes you may only want to display a specific part of your YouTube video. This could be a particular verse in a song or an isolated video clip from a movie scene. You can specify which part of the video to show to participants by editing the Start Time and End Time on the initial pop-up box or by clicking the green Edit pencil icon to the right of the added video.
First, find the two timestamps you'd like the video to Start and End at. In this example, we will be using the time stamp of 1:00 to 1:30 for the video. Once you've filled out the two Start Time and End Time boxes, make sure to check these boxes. These checkmarks indicate the YouTube video is set to play from the timestamps you specified.
Viewing the YouTube Video on the Participant View
Your YouTube video will now be shown on every participant's Participant View above their bingo card for the video's specified duration.
