When you no longer want to allow your crowd to post and/or you just want to end your Social Wall, you should "Finish" and finalize it. This will stop all posting from Crowdpurr and social media querying and update the crowd's mobile devices and Projector View with a message that the "Social Wall has ended."
Finishing your Social Wall is useful when you no longer want your crowd to use the Social Wall and you want them to focus their attention back on your presentation, another topic, etc.
When you want to clear out any test posts and reset your Social Wall for your actual live event, you must first "Finish" your Social Wall. Once you finish a Social Wall, you have the option of resetting it, which we'll do now.
Finishing Your Social Wall
To finish your Social Wall, simply click the smaller circular yellow "Stop" button under the "Control Center" heading on the Experience Dashboard. This will stop all interaction from your crowd.
Resetting Your Social Wall
Now that your Social Wall is finished, to use it again, either as another "dry run" for testing purposes or for your actual live event, you need to reset it. Resetting will set your Social Wall back to the "Ready" state. This will update the crowd's mobile devices and Projector View to a "Welcome, the Social Wall will start soon" message. Below, we'll learn about options for handling existing posts or "crowd responses".
To reset your Social Wall, simply click on the circular blue "Reset" button under the "Control Center" heading on the Experience Dashboard. This will open the "Reset Social Wall..." dialog where you'll have two button options:
Clear Crowd Responses
Click the "Clear Crowd Responses" button if you want to clear out all the current posts from Twitter, Instagram, and Crowdpurr. If you want to reset your Social Wall to a clean state so it can be ran again as a "fresh" Social Wall, click on this option. It will also set your Social Wall's state to "Ready". This is the most common type of reset.
Keep Crowd Responses
Click the "Keep Crowd Responses" button if you want to reset the Social Wall's state back to "Ready" but want to keep the existing posts and images. There are some cases where this is useful, for example, you accidentally "Finish" your experience and want to re-run it without resetting all the existing posts.
After clicking on one of the above buttons, your Social Wall is now reset. To start it again you'll need to click the green "Play" button.
