The Presenter View for your Social Wall is what displays all of your aggregated posts and images from your participants in one large-format presentation display that your entire crowd sees at your event. Your crowd gets a constant stream of messages, photos, and insight from your participants' posts at your event.
The Presenter View will continuously cycle all of your published posts and images in the layout you specified earlier in the Experience Wizard when first creating the Social Wall. You can also change the layout via the Presenter View window by locating the Settings button with a gear icon. Upon clicking on this button, the View Settings for the Presenter View will pop up.
The Presenter View also automatically displays the instructions for how your crowd can post to your Social Wall by including the website URL and the #hashtags or @usernames to use on Twitter and Instagram.
Launch the Presenter View
To open the Presenter View, click on the large purple Presenter View button under the Crowd Views section on the Experience Dashboard. The Presenter View will open up in a new browser tab, which can be detached and then dragged to the projector desktop of your computer.
An Experience Dashboard and a detached Presenter View window
Since we haven't started our Social Wall yet, the Presenter View is displaying a The Social Wall Will Begin Shortly message. Once we start our Social Wall, the Presenter View will update to show posts once it aggregates them.
Set the Presenter View to Full-Screen Mode
After opening the Presenter View in a new browser tab, you can detach the browser tab and move it to an Extended Desktop on your computer that is connected to an external projector, HDTV, or another display source - similar to setting up a PowerPoint or Keynote presentation. These are often connected to your computer's external display ports via HDMI, DVI, VGA, etc. For more information, please visit the following article - Connecting Crowdpurr to a Projector or HDTV
Once the external device is showing the Presenter View's browser tab, click the Full-Screen button in the lower-right-hand corner of the Presenter View. This will put the Presenter View into full-screen presentation mode. You should do this bit of setup before your audience arrives at your event.
Your audience can now see the URL and instructions for posting to your Social Wall at the bottom of the Presenter View. Once they've posted, they can now see their posts populate on the Presenter View and follow along with the buzz of your event! The Presenter View will show appropriate messages based on if your Social Wall is in the Ready state, the Live state, or the Finished state.
Next Steps
Now that you know how to open the Participant View and launch the Presenter View, we're ready to actually start your Social Wall and post to it. This is the fun part! Go to the next step - Starting and Pausing the Social Wall.
