The Projector View for your Social Wall is what displays all of your aggregated posts and images from your participants in one large-format presentation display that your entire crowd sees at your event. Your crowd gets a constant stream of messages, photos, and insight from your participants' posts at your event.
The Projector View will continuously cycle all of your published posts and images in the layout you specified earlier in the Experience Wizard. You can also change the layout on the Projector View in the lower-right-hand Configuration Menu that has a small gear-icon on it.
The Projector View also automatically displays the instructions for how your crowd can post to your Social Wall by including the web URL and the #hashtags or @usernames to use on Twitter and Instagram.
Launch the Projector View
To open the Projector View click on the large purple Projector View button under the Control Center section on the Experience Dashboard. The Projector View will open in a new browser tab. This browser tab can be detached and then dragged to the projector desktop of your computer.
Since we haven't yet started our Social Wall, the Projector View is displaying a The Social Wall Will Begin Shortly message. Once we start our Social Wall, the Projector View will update to show posts once it aggregates them.
Set the Projector View to Full-Screen Mode
After opening the Projector View in a new browser tab, you'll detach the browser tab and move it to an Extended Desktop on your computer that is connected to an external projector, HDTV, or other display source - similar to setting up a PowerPoint or Keynote presentation. These are often connected to your computer's external display ports via HDMI, DVI, VGA, etc.
Once the external device is showing the Projector View's browser tab, click the Full Screen button in the lower-right-hand corner of the Projector View. This will put the Projector View into the full-screen presentation mode. You should do this bit of setup before your audience arrives at your event.
Your audience can now see the URL and instructions for posting to your Social Wall at the bottom of the Projector View. Once they've posted, they can now see their posts populate on the Projector View and follow along with the buzz of your event! The Projector View will show appropriate messages based on if your Social Wall is in the Ready state, the Live state, or the Finished state.
Now that you know how to open the Mobile View and launch the Projector View, we're ready to actually start your Social Wall and post to it. This is the fun part! Go to the next step Starting and Pausing the Social Wall.
