Now that you've updated your Social Wall's Header Message, it's time to set what hashtags your Social Wall will curate from the various social media networks you enable.
Click on the green tab "Social Wall Settings". Scroll down to the category "Social Media Settings".
Click on the switch that says "Allow Posts From Twitter?" This will enable Twitter on your Social Wall and will gather all tweets with the hashtag or username we enter.
This will open the hashtag input for Twitter. Let's make a Social Wall about cats! Type in the the hashtag #cats and click the green "Save" button. We are intentionally using a really common hashtag so we can immediately see live social media posts publish to our Social Wall (more on this in a later step.) You can also use your own hashtag for your event, brand, etc.
Click on the switch that says "Allow Posts From Instagram?" This will enable Instagram on your Social Wall and gather all posts with the hashtag or username we enter.
This will open the hashtag input for Instagram. Type in the the hashtag #cats and click the green "Save" button. You can also use a different hashtag if you'd like.
Enabling Posting From Crowdpurr
You may have noticed just above Twitter and Instagram is a switch called "Allow Posts From Crowdpurr?" that is on by default. This allows your crowd to post messages and photos directly from their phone using the Crowdpurr web app by navigating to crowdpurr.com/post. This is useful if any members in your crowd do not have either a Twitter or Instagram account or perhaps don't want to post on their social profiles to interact with your Social Wall. Let's leave this enabled.
There are other more advanced Social Wall settings that you can discover in our Help Center at the end of this tutorial.
Great! Now that you have Crowdpurr, Twitter, and Instagram posting enabled, your Social Wall is ready to pull in all Tweets and Instagram posts mentioning #cats and any other posts from your audience via Crowdpurr. But first you have to "Start" your Social Wall. You're now ready for the next step Starting & Pausing the Social Wall
