After creating your Poll, you now you need to add a questions and answers for your audience to vote on!
You edit and add questions using the Experience Dashboard which is displayed automatically after creating your Poll. The top of the Experience Dashboard has a Control Center that allows you to start, stop, and perform other actions on your Poll. For now, we're going to scroll down and set up some questions to ask your audience.
Edit Your First Question
Crowdpurr automatically adds your first question by default. This question is shown on the tab called "Question 1" that is slightly under the control-area of your Poll. You simply need to edit the question.
Let's create a Political Poll (yay Politics). We're going to ask our crowd how they'll vote in the next election. Let's edit our question to ask, "What Political Party will you vote for in the next United States Presidential Election?" Feel free to make up your own question(s) and answers instead of our examples.
Simply click on green edit button to the right of the question's text. This sets the question to "edit-mode". You can update the text of the question. After you're done, simply click the green checkmark button to save the question.
Edit the Answers of Your First Question
Now that you've edited your first question, update each of the answers. Crowdpurr by default sets each question as a multiple-choice question and adds four default answers for your crowd to choose from.
Click on the button in the lower-right-hand corner of each answer to edit that answer. A pop-up appears that will allow you to edit the text of each answer, update the answer's color, or delete the answer if you do not want it.
Let's change the first answer to the "Democratic Party". When you've finished adding the text, click on the green "checkmark" button to save the text.
Continue by editing the next three answers to "Independent Party", "Libertarian Party", and "Republican Party".
Adding More Questions (and Answers)
Once you've successfully added your first question, let's add a second question! Simply click on the "Add Question" button to the right of your "Question 1" tab. Clicking on this will add a new question tab called "Question 2" and automatically add four multiple choice answers.
Let's edit Question 2 to ask, "Who is your favorite all-time United States President?"
After updating the question, you can now edit the four answers to the following:
- Abraham Lincoln
- John F. Kennedy
- Ronald Reagan
- Barack Obama
Let's add one more political-themed question. Click on the "Add Question" button one more time. This will add Question 3. Let's edit Question 3 to ask, "Who is your favorite all-time world leader?" Now edit the answers to the following:
- Mother Teresa
- Nelson Mandela
- Dalai Lama
- Pope John Paul
Nice! We now have a Poll with three interesting questions.
Once you've finished updating Question 3, you can add more questions if you'd like. You're now ready to continue to the next step Starting & Pausing the Poll.
