Before we run your Poll, we'll open up a test mobile client to see what your crowd will see on their mobile devices. You can open up the mobile client on an actual mobile device (e.g. your mobile phone, your tablet, etc.) or you can open up the mobile client on your desktop computer or iMac. All devices are supported.
To open the mobile client, do one of the following:
On Your Desktop:
This is probably the easiest way to test your Poll while still working in the Experience Dashboard editing your game. Simply click on the "Crowd URL" link that is shown on the Experience Dashboard. This is the URL (uniform resource locator) or hyperlink to your Poll. This is a shortcut link for testing your Poll that opens the mobile-client in a new regular browser tab on your desktop computer. You can detach the tab and resize the browser window to make it smaller to "simulate" how the Poll will look on smaller mobile devices. You can then have it open along with your Experience Dashboard. During your actual event, your crowd will access your Poll using the below "Mobile Device" instructions.
On Your Mobile Device:
Open up your mobile browser (e.g. Safari, Chrome, etc.) on your mobile device (e.g. smartphone, tablet, etc.) and in the URL field, type in "crowdpurr.live". You will then be asked to "Enter A Code". Simply enter the five-digit Poll Code for your Poll from the Experience Dashboard. In this example, our code is FNCGA (as shown on the Experience Dashboard).
You're now ready to follow along and run your Poll using the mobile-client. As you execute your Poll the mobile client you have open will update with the "Active Question", allow you to vote, and show various settings that you set on the Experience Dashboard.
