After creating your Trivia Game, you now you need to add a questions and answers for your audience to vote on!
You edit and add questions using the Experience Dashboard which is displayed automatically after creating your Trivia Game. The top of the Experience Dashboard has a Control Center that allows you to start, stop, and perform other actions on your Trivia Game. For now, we're going to scroll down and set up some questions to ask your audience.
Edit Your First Question
Crowdpurr automatically adds your first question by default. This question is shown on the tab called "Question 1" that is slightly under the control-area of your experience. You simply need to edit the question.
Let's create a Movie Trivia Game. Let's edit our question to ask, "What movie has the highest adjusted gross-income of all-time?" Feel free to make your own question(s) and answers up as we go through the tutorial.
Simply click on green edit button to the right of the question's text. This sets the question to "edit-mode". You can update the text of the question. After you're done, simply click the green checkmark button to save the question.
Edit the Answers of Your First Question
Now that you've edited your first question, update each of the answers. Crowdpurr by default sets each question as a multiple-choice question and adds four default answers for your crowd to choose from.
Click on the button in the lower-right-hand corner of each answer to edit that answer. A pop-up appears that will allow you to edit the text of each answer, update the answer's color, or delete the answer if you do not want it.
Let's change the first answer to the movie "Titanic". When you've finished adding the text, click on the green "checkmark" button to save the text.
Continue by editing the next three answers to "Gone With The Wind", "Star Wars", and "Avatar".
Set the Correct Answer
Since we created a Trivia Game, one of the question's answers must be set as the Correct Answer. This lets Crowdpurr know which answer is correct. To set the correct answer for each question, simply click on the correct answer's edit button. In the pop-up, click the "Set As Correct Answer" button. For this question, we'll set "Gone With The Wind" as the correct answer. Notice that the "Correct" Star Badge is now on "Gone With The Wind".
You can also set the correct answer for a question when editing a question using the "Correct Answer" dropdown.
Adding More Questions (and Answers)
Once you've successfully added your first question, let's add a second question! Simply click on the "Add Question" button to the right of your "Question 1" tab. Clicking on this will add a new question tab called "Question 2" and automatically add four multiple choice answers.
Let's edit Question 2 to ask, "Who is the highest grossing actor of all time?"
After updating the question, you can now edit the four answers to the following:
- Samuel L. Jackson
- Morgan Freeman
- Harrison Ford
- Tom Hanks
Set the Correct Answer to "Harrison Ford".
Let's add one more movie-themed question. Click on the "Add Question" button one more time. This will add Question 3. Let's edit Question 3 to ask, "What film won the Academy Award for Best Picture in 2016?" Now edit the answers to the following:
- The Revenant
- The Martian
- The Big Short
- The Spotlight
Set the Correct Answer to "Spotlight". Nice! We now have a Trivia Game with three fun questions.
Once you've finished updating Question 3, you can add more questions if you'd like. You're now ready to continue to the next step Starting & Pausing the Trivia Game.
