Yes! Crowdpurr works great with virtual events. You can send out your Social Wall's URL to your participants via email, Twitter, Slack, etc. and they can join remotely on their mobile devices. They can join and post entirely through their mobile device.
Or even better, you can stream the Projector View window using any of the major streaming services (e.g. YouTube Live, Twitch, Zoom, etc.) by streaming the entire window or layering it into your broadcast using free software like Open Broadcast Software (OBS). If your participants know how to join your virtual event you can broadcast the URL to join the Social Wall by displaying it in your streaming content.

Yes, we support both Twitter and Instagram including images from both. Simply input the #hashtag you want to query and we'll curate the posts. @usernames are supported for Twitter but not Instagram (at this time). Currently, any video posts, Instagram Stories, Facebook, and LinkedIn posts are not supported but we're working on it.
Yes! Your crowd can simply navigate to crowdpurr.com/post on their mobile device and they can post messages and images via the Crowdpurr web app without needing a Twitter or Instagram account.
Yes! Crowdpurr is designed for you to practice as much as you want in order to learn the platform. We want you to feel comfortable ahead of your actual event. This is why we give you 30 days on every upgrade.
There is no consequence for practice runs. You can practice as much as you want on any Social Wall. You can try out your Social Wall and easily reset it when finished so it's ready to go for another practice run or your actual event. Resetting simply removes all existing crowd responses and puts your Social Wall back in a clean initial state: Ready to start again. It does not remove your Header Message or any added logos, etc. There's no way to "mess up" your Social Wall by practicing. Go ahead and experiment. If in doubt, reset!
To learn how to reset a Social Wall, check out Resetting a Social Wall.
Yes! Simply enable Post Review and you can approve, reject, or edit ALL incoming posts no matter what the source. Once approved, they will be published on your Social Wall. You can also enable "Auto-Filter" to automatically filter any words that are flagged as profanity.
Crowdpurr queries about every five minutes for new posts with your specified hashtag. Each query can add up to four tweets/posts per social media site. If you have a lot of "eligible" tweets/posts to be queried, they will publish fairly quickly using these rules.
Once published, a tweet or post is kept on your Social Wall forever unless it is deleted or you reset your Social Wall and clear all posts. If you'd like to keep the posts for your own record before removing the Social Wall entirely, feel free to export all of the posts from the Social Wall to keep forever.
As long as you'd like. Our Social Walls are designed to run for hours or days. Please note, if you run it for more than thirty days, you'll be charged your plan's monthly renewal charge.
Check the following:
- Did you start your Social Wall?
- Did you enable Twitter and/or Instagram for Posting?
- Did you save a hashtag or username for Twitter and/or Instagram?
- Are you using a really obscure hashtag (e.g. #someconference2017) that has no posts yet?
- Are the posts more than 48 hours old?
- Did you create a test tweet or post using this hashtag to see if it was published to your Social Wall?
If you tried all this and your Social Wall still isn't publishing tweets/posts from Twitter and/or Instagram, email us at help@crowdpurr.com
